Quality Engineer, NPI

We are looking for a

Quality Engineer, NPI (New Product Introduction)

to join our Safety, Sustainability and Quality (SSQ) -team located in Iisalmi. In this role you will develop the product manufacturability and quality and its verification methods and practices. By these measures you are helping to improve productivity and customer satisfaction in this area. Your key stakeholders will be our production and R&D teams, in addition to internal interfaces such as sourcing and other SSQ team.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

Representing quality in new product projects in R&D gate reviews

Developing the verification of quality, safety and manufacturability on gate reviews

Participating in new component approvals in co-operation with sourcing and R&D

Developing the visual quality of the products in co-operation with R&D

Product audits in prototype- and 0-serie phase to improve the customer perceived quality.

Collecting the quality information from production and end customers to be utilized in R&D gate reviews

To shine in this position, we hope you have:

Already some experience of manufacturing industry and production processes including mechanical, hydraulics and electrics assembly.

Awareness of CAD softwares and engineering processes

Understanding of quality control in production processes

M.Sc./B.Sc. in mechanical engineering or other suitable technical education

Collaboration and interaction skills ability to influence others and make people engage to development and working towards common goals

Basic understanding of LEAN methodologies in assembly process

Self-driven working methods

Service and follow-through mind-set

Good problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to quickly changing priorities

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English

Good ICT skills
