• We are seeking an outstanding Sales Director to further develop and grow our Public Sector business in the Netherlands region. This individual will play a key role in executing some of the largest and most strategic public sector engagements, continuing the

• of Splunk in government and public service organizations, and driving a significant share of revenue for Splunk.

• Your impact
• Lead the Dutch Public Sector sales team. Account coverage includes central government, agencies, municipalities, and other public sector organizations
• Lead and coach a team of 4 Account managers, diverse in experience and abilities
• Consistently overachieve the

• target by driving accuracy and predictability in both forecast and business planning, while building strong partnerships with supporting functions such as Sales Operations
• Orchestrate and lead cross-functional teams, creating followership across Sales Engineering, Business Value Consultants, Product Advisory, Digital Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
• Navigate and lead complex public sector sales cycles, including RFPs, RFIs, and formal procurement processes
• Negotiate (and

• ) favourable pricing and business terms with public sector organizations by coaching the team to sell on value
• Engage
• with channel and technology partners for maximum effectiveness, scale, and delivery, including within established public sector frameworks

• Must-have Qualifications
• Extensive experience in building and running front-line sales teams, ideally within Public Sector or highly regulated environments
• Experience in direct and channel selling to Public Sector organizations or large, complex accounts
• Strong network within government, public sector institutions, or adjacent ecosystems, with the ability to expand this network
• Comfortable working with C-level and senior executives, as well as procurement and regulatory stakeholders
• Proven
• track record
• of closing six, seven, and eight-figure TCV software licensing deals
• Understanding and experience in public sector procurement processes and long sales cycles
• Strong
• expertise
• in pipeline generation and management in a fast-paced environment
• Strong executive presence, credibility, and communication skills
• Ability to
• maintain
• an accurate
• sales forecast, deliver on commitments, and drive new business
• Exceptional management, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Relevant software industry experience in IT systems, security, observability, or infrastructure management
• Ability to effectively use CRM systems (Salesforce)
