Job Purpose:

business development and vendor ownership

, ideal for a dynamic market like Croatia. As Business Development Manager for

Veeam

, you will own the growth of a strategic vendor portfolio, expanding profitable market share through partners and key customers while acting as a

trusted advisor

internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow the Veeam business
  • across assigned partners and customers
  • Drive
  • profitable revenue growth
  • aligned with Business Unit strategy
  • Position and sell solutions & services, including
  • consumption and TaaS models
  • Enable and support sales teams to
  • increase win‑rate and share of wallet
  • Lead
  • complex deals, tenders, and strategic opportunities
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams
  • Identify new opportunities, initiatives, and routes to market
  • Collaborate closely with sales, FSEs, and vendor teams
  • Act as the
  • go‑to expert
  • for the Veeam portfolio
  • Take on additional
  • program or category ownership
  • in a smaller market setup
  • Support coaching, development, or people‑related activities where applicable

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a
  • BDM or sales professional
  • in IT or vendor-driven environments
  • Strong knowledge of
  • data protection, infrastructure, or Veeam technologies
  • Solid understanding of the
  • IT channel ecosystem
  • Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Customer‑focused, proactive, and results‑driven attitude
  • Clear communicator able to
  • motivate and enable sales teams
  • Structured, data‑driven approach to pipeline and forecast management
  • High level of
  • ownership, accountability, and autonomy
  • Comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/ERP tools (SAP is a plus)
  • People management experience is a plus, not a requirement
  • Business or technology degree is an advantage
  • Experience in IT distribution, business development, or account management is highly valued
  • Fluent Croatian and English
  • required for daily communication
