At Ipsen, we are looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Rare Diseases with experience in rare diseases, based in Barcelona, will act as the Ipsen scientific reference for the rare diseases portfolio in the designated territory, as well as the first point of contact for any scientific project deployed in the designated territory. Your main responsibilities will be: Focusing on fieldwork, mapping, and profiling key stakeholders (mainly thought leaders) across the designated territory. Maintaining close contact with thought leaders to be positioned as the scientific partner of choice. Identifying regional unmet needs and key insights and ensuring they are transferred to the appropriate stakeholders in the organization. Collaborating with the Medical Managers of the Rare Disease area to implement and follow up on national/international medical projects/studies in the field. Managing the regional medical plan for marketed and pipeline rare diseases products aligned with the National Medical Plan. Following up on the regional medical budget and forecast accuracy. Leading the management of medical projects in the regional plan. Providing scientific information and responding professionally and quickly to documented unsolicited requests from the field and internal/external stakeholders for clinical information and data. Developing and maintaining knowledge about Ipsen's Rare Diseases portfolio and therapeutic area. Conducting advisory boards at the regional level and transferring key insights to the organization. Leading scientific exchange meetings at the regional level and supporting HCPs, including thought leaders, by providing them with scientific and clinical data. Attending appropriate scientific congresses to interact with HCPs, develop knowledge in relevant therapy areas, and produce congress summaries for dissemination to HCPs. Supporting the dissemination of product and disease area knowledge across Ipsen in accordance with business priorities. Regularly communicating best practices and facilitating knowledge sharing with the medical and cross-functional field teams. Assisting in maintaining, improving, and promoting the Medical Information and wider Medical service in line with the BU Strategy and IPSEN SOPs. Collaborating closely with Local and Global Medical teams, as well as field teams, including Commercial and Market Access teams. Ensuring that scientific support is informed, balanced, current, and complies with EFPIA codes, local guidelines, or regulatory rules and IPSEN SOPs. Who are we looking for?
