Senior Developer, Azure Data Platforms (Helsinki / Oulu)

Do you want to work hands-on with modern Azure-based data platforms on a scale, while also influencing technical direction and future platform evolution? We are looking for a Senior Developer to strengthen our data quality and metadata management capabilities within the OP Pohjola.

The position is full-time and permanent, and available either in Helsinki or Oulu. Like the rest of OP Pohjola, we work flexibly, combining office days and remote work in Finland.

A few words about the job

This is a senior-level technical role focusing on the hands-on development, operation, and continuous improvement of Azure-based data platform components, with a particular emphasis on data quality and metadata management tooling.

In this role, you will work closely with Soda.io Agent and Collibra Edge, deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring these services are reliable, secure, scalable, and well-integrated into the wider Data Management ecosystem of OP.

The role sits within the new Data Trustworthiness Tribe, which focuses on improving trust, quality, and transparency of data across the organization. While the position is strongly hands-on, it also includes architectural aspects, offering clear development opportunities towards a broader technical or architectural role over time.

Key responsibilities in this role are:

Design, deploy, operate, and continuously improve Azure-based platform components supporting data quality and metadata management.

Take technical responsibility for Soda.io Agent, Collibra Edge and other deployments running on AKS, including stability, performance, security, and lifecycle management.

Own and contribute to release and change management processes for platform services, ensuring controlled, well-documented, and predictable deployments.

Participate in technical design and architectural discussions related to Azure data platforms, governance tooling, and platform patterns.

Improve observability, monitoring, logging, and operational readine
