Interested in building a cybersecurity product where your code directly impacts real-world network security? We are now looking for a Backend Developer to join SensorFu's growing team.
SensorFu is a Finnish cybersecurity company focused on securing mission-critical networks. We develop solutions that help organizations ensure their isolated networks truly remain isolated, continuously testing network segmentation and detecting potential leaks before they turn into real security incidents. Our customers operate in industries such as energy, infrastructure, and defense, where even small vulnerabilities can have serious consequences. Our approach is built on transparency, innovation, trust, and simplicity in design, with a focus on practical security that works in real environments.
Would you be our new Backend Developer?
In this role, you will work on the backend of SensorFu's core product, the Beacon Home component, which acts as the central service responsible for managing Beacons, handling incoming data, and exposing APIs for monitoring and alerting. You will develop functionality using Rust and work closely with databases and HTTP APIs.
You will work closely with the founding team and other developers, collaborating on day-to-day development, reviewing each other's code, and contributing to how the product evolves. While this is a hands-on development role, an interest in architecture and technical decision-making is seen as a benefit. Depending on your background and interests, you may also contribute to the UI side or bring in expertise related to Windows or Android environments.
The tech stack is built around Rust as the primary backend language (using Tokio for asynchronous programming), with HTTP APIs developed using Axum and SQLite as the database.
The position is a full-time, permanent role, and you will be employed by Biisoni . The role is ideally based in Oulu, where the team meets at the office once a week. We hope you're able to join thes
