Position Summary

You will manage accurate and timely payroll processing for GSK Australia. You will work closely with HR, Finance, our payroll service providers and employees. Responsibilities

  • This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Process and review payroll runs to ensure accurate pay, deductions and statutory contributions.
  • Reconcile payroll data, prepare payroll journals and support month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Respond to employee payroll enquiries with clear and timely communication.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with Australian tax, superannuation and employment laws.
  • Work with HR, Finance and external vendors to resolve issues and improve payroll processes.
  • Support audits, produce reports and maintain confidentiality of payroll information.

  • This role is hybrid. You will be expected on-site at our Australian office part of the week and can work remotely for agreed days.
  • Basic Qualification
  • We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on payroll experience in Australia.
  • Solid knowledge of Australian payroll rules, PAYG tax, superannuation and payroll reporting.
  • Experience with payroll or HRIS systems and integrating payroll data with finance systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to handle confidential information.
  • Preferred Qualification
  • If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Experience with Workday, SAP Payroll, ADP or similar payroll platforms.
  • Previous experience working with third-party payroll providers.
  • Experience preparing payroll journals, accruals and supporting financial close.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance frameworks and audit processes.
  • Payroll certification or formal payroll training.
  • Experience working in a multinational or fast-changing environment.
