About this role

Finance processes with impact – in an international environment. In this role, you will be responsible for key bank and general ledger accounting activities with a strong focus on cash pooling and treasury-related processes. Working closely with Treasury, Accounting, and other finance teams, you contribute to accurate reporting, efficient processes, and ContiTech’s financial steering. Key responsibilities: Bank Accounting & Treasury‑Related Topics Responsibility for bank accounting with a focus on international cash pooling structures (e.g. EUR, USD and additional currencies) Accounting and coordination of intercompany loans, foreign currency transactions, interest calculations, and financial derivatives in close cooperation with Treasury and Group Accounting Posting and reconciliation of bank accounts, including manual payments, payment runs, and clearing activities Processing of special payment transactions and intercompany netting General Ledger, Closing & Reporting Independent execution and maintenance of general ledger postings within the assigned scope Reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts Support in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB Posting of accruals, provisions, and valuation entries Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements Handling of Bundesbank reporting (e.g. Z4, ZM) Collaboration & Projects Close coordination with subledger teams (AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Accounting) Contact person for accounting-related inquiries within the organization Collaboration with Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and other finance functions Interface for external auditors and internal audit Contribution to process improvements, finance projects, and system optimizations, particularly in SAP FI / S/4HANA

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification, or a completed commercial apprenticeship with recognized further training in accounting (e.g. Certified Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter IHK) Several years of professional experience in bank accounting and/or general ledger accounting, ideally in an international environment Very good knowledge of HGB; IFRS knowledge is a plus Basic knowledge of tax regulations (e.g. VAT) is desirable Experience with cash pooling structures, treasury-related processes, or bank accounting is an advantage Confident handling of ERP systems, ideally SAP FI / S/4HANA Very good Excel skills and solid proficiency in MS Office Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken Independent, structured working style combined with strong team and communication skills Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
