Communications Manager

Valmet is looking for a Communications Manager to join its global Communications and Brand team to drive change and transformation communications and support our cultural journey with communications that build understanding, commitment, and engagement across diverse employee groups, and support leaders in initiatives that reinforce strategic priorities.

The role places emphasis on change communications, leadership communication, and employee engagement in a complex, global industrial environment.

In this role, you will as a Communications partner for Valmet’s global People & Culture and Global Supply organizations. You will work closely with People & Culture and Global Supply leaders to translate strategy into clear, engaging, and impactful communication that supports business performance and cultural change.

The role reports to the Director, Global Communications and involves close collaboration with global stakeholders across Valmet.

Responsibilities include:

Act as a trusted communications partner to internal stakeholders, especially People & Culture and Global Supply leaders

Plan and execute communications supporting cultural development, transformation programs, and strategic initiatives

Develop communications that build clarity, alignment, and engagement across global organization

Oversee the development of high-quality internal communication content, campaigns, and materials

Ensure consistency with Valmet’s global communications strategy, brand, values, and tone of voice

Measure communication effectiveness and continuously improve impact

Collaborate closely with global communications colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders

Other related duties as needed

Experience and education:

Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate or internal communications in international settings

Proven track record of successfully driving cultural change and transformation through communication

Strong experience working in global organizations

Experience from industrial environments is preferred

Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and work effectively under pressure

Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and influencing skills

Fluency in English

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field

Postgraduate degree or additional qualifications in communications, business, or change management are considered an asset
