Nexer Engineering is looking for experienced HIL Test Engineers for assignments with clients in the automotive industry in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The need for structured testing of embedded control systems is growing, and this role focuses on validating functionality, system behavior, and performance in modern automotive platforms through HIL environments and test benches.

Responsibilities

  • You will work close to software and system development with a clear focus on HIL testing within automotive environments. This is a full-time, on-site assignment at the client's workplace in Gothenburg.
  • You will be responsible for:
  • Executing complex test campaigns with multiple interfaces, both in vehicles and on test benches
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to embedded control systems
  • Analyzing test data, summarizing, and communicating test results to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborating closely with simulation, control, and systems engineers to analyze cause-effect relationships between design and performance
  • Specifying, balancing, and verifying system requirements
  • Developing innovative testing methods to improve campaign efficiency and result accuracy
  • Your profile
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • At least three years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Hands-on experience with HIL testing and test benches
  • Knowledge of embedded software and hardware engineering
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Valid working permit in Sweden and current residence in Sweden
  • Prior professional work experience in Sweden
  • Meritorious experience
  • Hands-on experience building HIL environments from scratch – a competence that is specifically sought after by our clients
  • Experience with verification and validation of embedded systems
