This position will be the first Energy Trading & Analytics Engineer placed locally in Sweden. Initially, the role includes travel to Romania for onboarding and collaboration with our established trading teams, after which the role will be based in Sweden.

About the RoleWe are building a new trading function within the European energy markets and are looking for an Energy Trading & Analytics Engineer with a strong trading mindset to play a key role in this journey.This role is fundamentally trading-focused, combining hands-on market participation and decision-making with strong analytical capabilities. You will actively contribute to developing and executing trading strategies across power, gas, and emissions (EUA), while helping shape the structure and growth of a new trading team. You are first and foremost a trader — supported by data, analysis, and structured thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in and execute trading strategies in European energy markets (power, gas, EUA)
  • Take part in trading decisions, positioning, and risk-taking within defined frameworks
  • Analyze market dynamics, liquidity, and positioning across relevant timeframes
  • Identify trading opportunities based on market structure and price behavior
  • Manage exposure, risk, and performance of trading positions
