We are seeking a hands-on CTO to lead the development of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions as we scale across Europe.

This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who enjoys building products, teams, and technology platforms in a fast-moving startup environment, while ensuring compliance with European and international standards.

What You’ll Do

Own and drive the BESS technology roadmap from concept to commercial deployment

Lead system design across batteries, inverters, EMS, and grid integration

Ensure compliance with EU grid codes, safety, and international standards

Support customer projects, tenders, and technical decision-making

Attend events and give presentation on our technology and solutions

Build and lead a high-performing engineering and R&D team

What We’re Looking For

Master’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field

Demonstrable experience in energy storage, power systems, or renewables

Strong hands-on experience with BESS architectures and grid-connected systems

Experience working on international or multi-country European projects

Strategic mindset with a pragmatic, startup-ready approach

Excellent presentation skills – also to large audiences

Willingness to travel

Fluent English and Finnish are required
