Responsibilities

• We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our research operations in Turku in a fixed-term position. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care of research animals, monitoring their well-being, and carrying out related reporting and documentation. Your work will also include maintaining animal facilities and collaborating closely with research personnel. You will be part of the VivoCare unit.
• Studies conducted with animals play a crucial role in the development of new and improved medicines and are required before regulatory authorities can grant permission to proceed with clinical trials in humans. • The position is located in Turku, is fully on-site, and will start on 31 August 2026 , and is a fixed-term position until 1 March 2027.
• The role includes daily care-related tasks in a laboratory animal environment and supporting high standards of animal welfare. Responsibilities consist of routine operational work, such as operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment used in daily activities.
• The position involves physically demanding tasks, including cleaning animal rooms and laboratory facilities. Work is primarily carried out on weekdays during daytime hours, with occasional weekend work as part of the role.
