We are looking for a Development Engineer, Material Development to be a dynamic and enthusiastic new member to our Research and Development at our head office in Nokia, Finland.

Nokian Tyres is looking for what’s beyond the next generation of tyres. As part of our Material Development team your role will be essential in developing the innovations of tomorrow. We offer you a challenging role in a modern, high-performing team where you can make use of your talent.

In this position, you will work at the very core of our R&D Material Development team together with tyre professionals. Your work will include also close collaboration with other departments inside the company. This position is permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Development of new rubber compounds with superb performance to meet Nokian Tyres targets
  • Monitor and research of new raw materials and new material technologies to support R&D targets
  • Material development projects for compounds and raw materials
  • What we expect from you:
  • Minimum Master's Degree in Chemistry or Material Technology
  • 2-4 years professional experience in field of material technology
  • Knowledge of laboratory analysis methods
  • You are innovative and active, and your working style is systematic and structured
  • You are enthusiastic in research and development
  • Able to use English as working language
