Senior Software Engineer - Europe Money Movement - Java

The team you will join:  Europe Money Movement We provide our customers with quick, convenient, and cheap money transfers in a handful of European currencies. We work on new direct integrations with local payment systems, keep our existing integrations healthy, and scale them for our increasing customer base. We reduce risk and improve resilience. We work with banking and payment operations teams to make their processes more efficient. We are one of the largest money movement teams in the company, working on products and features for all of our European customers, enabling pay-ins and payouts in European currencies.

What does it take:  A strong product mindset, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions Sense of ownership and great communication skills to drive projects across teams You have 5+ years of experience with Java or Kotlin knowledge, experience with Spring framework and microservice best practices You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback You enjoy writing testable code and believe in Test Driven Development Experience working with relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems Hands on knowledge of system integration patterns   What does success look like?: You’ll have onboarded and found your place through understanding your team and tribe vision and how you can contribute  You’ll understand how our values can help you guide your work  You’ll understand our customers and the impact our product makes in their lives You’ll identify technical challenges and opportunities and help us build a world class money transfer product
