We are now looking for a Software Engineer to join Husqvarna Group’s Battery Competence Center, where you will be part of a team developing embedded software for batteries used in all Husqvarna products.

This is an exciting opportunity to work close to both hardware and software, in a technically advanced environment with a friendly and collaborative team.

About the role

As a Software Engineer within SW Engineering, you will be part of a team responsible for the complete software engineering lifecycle – from requirement specification and design to implementation, testing and deployment. The software is developed mainly in C and runs close to the hardware in battery control systems.

You will work in an agile setup where tasks are planned in sprints and shared within the team. Sometimes you will work independently, sometimes very closely together with colleagues, system engineers and other stakeholders.

The team consists of embedded software engineers located in Husqvarna, Jonsered and Stockholm, working in a global and cross-functional context.

Your main responsibilities

Develop embedded software in C for Husqvarna battery systems

Participate in the full software engineering process: specification, design, implementation, testing and documentation

Break down system requirements into software requirements together with system engineers

Develop unit tests and perform software and manual testing

Perform fault tracing and support troubleshooting of battery systems

Maintain and improve the software development toolchain

Contribute to both new development and improvement of existing products

Required qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical education)

At least 2–3 years of experience in software development

Strong skills in C programming

Experience in embedded systems/hardware-near programming

Fluent in Englis
