We are looking for an

Expert, Engine Fluids

to strengthen our competence and know-how within Wärtsilä Testing and Validation organization.

The location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. We also offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.

What you will be doing

As an Expert, Engine Fluids you will work with fuel, lubricating oil and cooling water related tasks in co-operation with both internal and external counterparts in order to ensure that the above-mentioned engine fluids used in Wärtsilä® four-stroke engines will ensure successful engine operation. You will be working as a part of highly skilled and energetic Support & Development team with diverse expertise and by supporting for your part Wärtsilä's journey towards decarbonization.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: M.Sc. (or B.Sc.) in chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalent

Some years of working experience in the fuel, lubricating oil and cooling water area

Knowledge of diesel / gas engine technology seen as an advantage

Keen interest and capability to interact with Wärtsilä's internal and external experts and stakeholders to make progress as an expert member of the research community

Willingness to travel

Analytical mindset

Good command of written and spoken English and Finnish

Being co-operative, open minded and having the ability to make things happen and willingness to develop yourself
