Payroll Team Lead (Hungary)
In this role You will:
Handle overall team management including resource allocation, retention and engagement working with and by coaching team members
Ensures horizontal and vertical alignment of strategic direction and ‘vision’ for respective services to ensure teams are operating in alignment with global process and customer needs as well as adhering to local legislation
Be involved in projects/ initiatives locally and globally
Represent the team to both internal and external audiences regarding operational issues and improvement/change initiatives
Recognise the need for and lead through change management initiatives while maintaining and driving team engagement
Support planning and executive operation strategy
Resolve any complex issues that are called out by the team and oversee and monitor their performance
Implement the best solutions for Local Delivery and Hungarian Payroll process and proactively identify, propose and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Proactively map out processes for any risk areas and identify mitigation actions
Manage a team of SMEs, Senior Specialists and Specialists (size of 10-15 members)
Create an inclusive environment recognising diversity of team members, create open and trustful communication among teams.
Build capability through inspiring teams to learn new skills, adopt new practices and seek growth opportunities
Move at a high pace while collaborating, managing risks, communicating, thinking globally and while demonstrating BP’s values, behaviours and approaches
Continuously promote Agile methodology through both adopting agile principles and actively championing agile at every opportunity
Apply deep digital expertise to problems, through understanding and promoting automation and through analysing data to create breakthrough solutions
What You will need to be successful:
Proficiency in English language
Hands-on experience in the Hungarian payroll and social insurance area
Proven team leader with a track record of team development and driving strong performance within a diverse team
Ability to provide professional advice and experience in managing admin / payroll team
Understanding of Payroll, Social Security and Taxation requirements and processes in Hungary
Experience in handling audits
Striving for problem solving attitude, comfortable using analytics to identify outcomes and influence decision making.
Strong communication and strong stakeholder management skills
Digital fluency – experience with SAP is a plus
Customer focus – Puts the customer and business strategy at the heart of decision making. Ability to guide leaders through choices to best suit business requirements
Group mind-set - demonstrates an understanding of the value of, and ability to develop, high quality, trust-based relationships with HR colleagues & with the wider organisation - leaders & employees
Integrity; role model of BP V&Bs to others in the function and business
