Position Summary
STERIS Life Sciences in Tuusula has over 90 years of experience in designing and manufacturing demanding custom process equipment mainly for the pharmaceutical sector, with most products destined for export. The facility employs about 160 professionals in project management, design, quality control, and manufacturing.
STERIS Life Sciences in Tuusula is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to enhance and modernize quality control processes, focusing on technical tasks and the development, standardization, and digitalization of QC procedures to improve efficiency and reduce manual documentation.
Responsibilities
- The position involves quality control of pressure vessel manufacturing, managing inspections and documentation in compliance with ASME and PED standards, overseeing welding qualifications, conducting pressure tests and final inspections, and improving QC processes including digitalization and standardization. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and participation in audits are also key duties.
- Education DegreeBachelor's Degree in Engineering General or Other
- Required Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in QC or QA roles within an industrial environment
- Welding experience
- Ability to work independently in an expert role and implement development initiatives.
- Experience or strong motivation to develop, standardize, and digitalize QC processes.
- Understanding of regulated environments
- Good communication skills in Finnish and English, and ability to collaborate across production, design, and other stakeholder
- Preferred Experience
- Understanding of ASME, PED, or GMP regulations
