Full Stack Developer (100% remote, Finland)
We’re building a fundamentally new approach to authentication.
AvuLogin replaces passwords and traditional MFA with a privacy-first, inclusive system grounded in over a decade of academic research. Our goal is simple: security that adapts to humans, not the other way around.
We’ve secured funding and built a working prototype. Now we need to rebuild it properly and get to production.
This is not a maintenance role. You will be building core systems from scratch. You’ll start as the first dedicated developer, with plans to hire an additional engineer within the next few months.
What you’ll do
Design and build our backend authentication system from the ground up
Develop native mobile apps (iOS & Android) that are central to the product
Implement secure authentication flows
Make architectural decisions together with the founding team
Ship a production-ready MVP fast, then iterate through real-world pilots
Use AI-assisted development tools to move faster – without sacrificing understanding or code quality
What we’re looking for
You’re a product-minded engineer who can actually build things end-to-end, but you also understand security deeply enough to not cut dangerous corners.
Strong backend development experience (designing systems, not just APIs)
Experience building mobile apps (native iOS and/or Android)
Experience with integrations
Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (auth flows, threat models, common attack vectors)
Ability to work independently and take ownership of large parts of the system
Comfortable using AI tools (Claude etc.) to accelerate development
Ability to critically evaluate and verify your AI-generated code
Understanding of the whole software lifecycle including design, development, deployment, and operations
You should not need constant direction. The rest of the team will help you as much as possible, but this role will involve ambiguity, early-stage decisions and responsibilit
