Finance Advisory Manager (fix term)
At bp, we’re transforming finance to enable the energy transition and deliver value for our business and partners. As part of the Finance Business & Technology (FBT) Finance Digital Innovation& Transformation team in Finance FBT ARC, you will operate at the intersection of finance, business, and technology —shaping future-ready processes and controls and delivering complex transactions (eg. divestments, demergers, M&A, and joint ventures). You’ll translate business needs into robust financial processes and system solutions, steward clean cutovers, and ensure control integrity across statutory, tax, and treasury outcomes. You will work collaboratively across finance, procurement and data transformation teams to ensure processes, systems, and controls are designed and implemented to meet bp’s standards and regulatory requirements, while enabling smooth transitions during periods of significant change.
In this role You will:
Optimize and strengthen
end‑to‑end finance processes and systems
, ensuring effective controls and regulatory compliance.
Support the delivery of
finance transformation programs
, including mergers, divestments, and other organizational changes across multiple finance and procurement workstreams.
Partner with
finance, procurement, business, data, and technology teams
to deliver value‑driven solutions and trusted financial insights.
Develop
dashboards, important metrics, and analytics
to enable data‑driven decision‑making and performance tracking.
Support
change management, system adoption, and continuous improvement
, ensuring operational continuity and long‑term process excellence.
Contribute to
audit, compliance, and controls activities
, helping maintain bp’s high governance standards.
What You will need to be successful:
Degree in
Finance, Accounting, Business
, or a related field; professional certifications (ACCA, CIMA, PMP) are a plus.
Experience in
finance/procurement transformation, business analysis, or project delivery
within a large organization.
Strong understanding of
S2P and core finance processes
, controls, and complex transactions (M&A, divestments, JVs).
Hands‑on experience with
SAP or similar ERP systems
, including data migration and testing.
Confident
interested party engagement and communication
skills with fluent English.
Strong
analytical demeanor
, discernment, and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Proficiency in
finance systems, Excel, and PowerPoint
; Power BI or Tableau experience is an advantage.
