Senior Expert – Control Room Engineering / HMI & Human Factors

We are recruiting a Senior Expert to join our client's projects focused on developing safe, efficient, and user-friendly control room solutions for power plant environments. In this role, your expertise will have a direct impact on operational safety, usability, and system performance
As a Senior Expert, you will act as a specialist in control room engineering, HMI design, and human factors engineering across new build and modernization projects. You will contribute throughout the full project lifecycle-from requirements definition and concept development to implementation support, evaluations, and final documentation.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project management, automation and I&C engineers, system suppliers, and end users. The role strongly emphasizes usability, human performance, and safety. When required, you will also support less experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities

- You hold a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in automation, I&C engineering, or another suitable technical field.
- You have several years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: control room engineering
- HMI design
- automation engineering
- human factors engineering
- You have experience in engineering projects within the process or energy industry.
- Proficient skills in both Finnish and English are mandatory for successful performance in the role.
- Experience in power plant environments, especially nuclear facilities, is considered an advantage.
