Safety Coordinator

Are you interested in joining a significant and long-term data centre project in Northern Finland? We are currently looking for a Safety Coordinator for a large data centre project located in the Muhos area, near Oulu.

As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for safety coordination duties in accordance with Finnish legislation. You will play a key role in ensuring that occupational health and safety requirements are met throughout the entire construction project.

Your daily responsibilities will include, among others:

Acting as the project’s Safety Coordinator in accordance with Finnish Government Decree VNa 205/2009

Coordinating safety documentation and safety procedures

Cooperating closely with the client, project management, contractors, and other stakeholders

Monitoring and developing occupational safety practices on the site

This is a full-time and long-term position on a large construction site. The role is mainly on-site, based at the project location in Muhos. An immediate start is preferred.

We expect you to have:

Strong knowledge of Finnish occupational safety and construction legislation

Proven experience in safety coordinator roles within construction projects

The ability to work independently and responsibly in a demanding project environment

Experience in data centre, infrastructure, or industrial construction is considered an advantage

Language requirements:

Fluent spoken and written English, and

Fluent Finnish, enabling you to work effectively with Finnish legislation and within a Finnish construction site environment.
