The Department of Geography and Geology at the University of Turku is seeking a fixed-term Project Researcher in Hydroinformatics. The position will start on 15 May 2026 or as agreed, and lasts until 31.12.2026.
The Project Researcher will work in the Horizon Europe-funded RESIST project as well as in the Digital Waters Flagship (DIWA). The RESIST project focuses on advancing climate change adaptation measures with a particular emphasis on sustainable water management. DIWA is a multi-organizational research community conducting water-management-oriented research with a focus on digital solutions.
Job description
The duties of the Project Researcher include processing and utilizing digital datasets related to water resources and catchment areas, including their use in computational modeling. The work involves modeling and analyzing hydrological processes at the catchment scale, as well as using models to assess the impacts of climate change, land use, and future development pathways on water resources.
