Job Description:

Join the

Intel XeSS Research and Development team

and help shape the future of AI-based graphics.

In this role, you will support the development of content and datasets that power next-generation rendering technologies, including Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and other neural rendering methods.

We are looking for a Technical Artist/Visual FX Artist with strong skills in real-time 3D content workflows, procedural scene creation, and AI-based or algorithmic content generation. This role is focused on building scalable workflows for generating scenes, effects, and dataset content used in training and evaluation pipelines, including the use of AI tools to create and expand scene content at scale.

You will work closely with AI and graphics engineers to develop procedural content systems, scripted scenarios, visual effects setups, AI-assisted scene generation workflows, and capture pipelines that produce high-quality, controlled, and repeatable datasets.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across content tools, real-time rendering environments, automation workflows, and modern AI content generation methods. Experience with Unreal Engine is a plus.

This role will directly contribute to the realism, diversity, control, and scale of synthetic content used in advanced AI rendering research and product development.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS/MS degree, or equivalent experience, in Game Development, Digital Art, Computer Animation, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 content creation, including lighting, materials and shaders, post-processing, optimization, and asset integration.
  • 3+ years of experience with Blueprint scripting and/or Sequencer to build scripted events, camera motion, and repeatable capture sequences.
  • Strong experience with at least one DCC tool such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender, along with modern PBR workflows.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and communicate clearly with both engineering and art stakeholders (we work in English)
  • Experience building tools and pipelines for Unreal Editor automation, batch processing, or custom capture and instrumentation workflows.
  • Python knowledge
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with dataset generation for AI/ML, synthetic data, or rendering ground truth workflows, including multi-sample accumulation, buffer exports, deterministic playback, and metadata capture.
  • Knowledge of shader languages such as HLSL/GLSL and Unreal Material Editor, with the ability to debug and tune rendering features to support capture requirements.
  • Familiarity with common AI dataset QA issues in rendering capture, including motion vector correctness, depth conventions, and jitter metadata consistency.
  • Experience building scalable, repeatable workflows for procedural scene creation, visual effects setups, and dataset content generation across modern real-time 3D tools and platforms.
  • Comfort working across content creation, rendering, and automation workflows to support high-quality training and evaluation datasets for advanced rendering research.
  • Knowledge of C++
