This is a role within the Castrol organization, and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

Back Office Analyst (Treasury) (Castrol)

This is a rare opportunity to help build an international treasury function from the ground up for Castrol, a global, iconic brand and well-established business with a worldwide footprint and long track record of success. What’s new is treasury itself, which is being created as a standalone function ready for the separation of Castrol from bp, following bp’s sale of a majority interest in Castrol to Stone peak Partners.

As a member of the founding team, you’re helping to establish Castrol treasury and contribute to Castrol’s exciting future. You will shape how treasury operates, how decisions are made, how risks are managed and how Castrol works with banks, technology and partners.

This role is hands-on, practical, fast-paced and influential to achieve a successful separation in the near term and optimization in the longer term. You’ll work closely with treasury and other finance colleagues, business teams, senior leaders and banks.

You won’t just be joining a treasury team. You’ll be helping to create one.

In this role You will:

Apply your expertise in corporate treasury operations, systems, policies, and procedures to help

build and operate a standalone Castrol treasury function

from the ground up.

Ensure seamless liquidity

across the group by completing authorized subsidiary payments accurately and on time.

Support strong financial controls

by delivering timely and accurate foreign exchange confirmations, ensuring smooth settlement and reconciliation.

Maintain

robust bank account administration

, enabling a well‑governed, controlled global banking structure.

Play a key role in

treasury business continuity planning

, strengthening operational resilience and readiness.

Act as a

go‑to problem solver

, resolving treasury operational issues and business enquiries quickly to restore service continuity.

Contribute to

treasury projects and ad‑hoc initiatives

, collaborating across agile teams within the wider treasury function.

Take ownership of the

end‑to‑end delivery of critical payments

, driving issues through to resolution and completion.

Produce insightful

reports and analytical tools

that support treasury data review and decision‑making, partnering with senior team members.

What You will need to be successful:

Proven experience in

treasury payment operations and intercompany management

, supporting smooth and controlled financial flows.

Hands‑on experience working with

banking partners

and within

back‑office or treasury operations

environments.

An

academic background

in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Data Science is highly valued.

Experience driving

operational process improvements

, with an approach focused on efficiency and continuous enhancement.

Strong understanding of

SAP and connected financial systems

, including end‑to‑end process and data flows.

Solid knowledge of

payment standards, mechanisms, and formats

(such as SWIFT, CAMT, and BAI).

Excellent English communication skills

, enabling effective collaboration with global partners.
