We are looking for an

Inside Sales Representative (early career)

within our

Laboratory Service Sales department

to cover the Italian market.

This role is well suited to professionals at an

early stage of their commercial career

who are looking to build long term expertise in

inside sales, customer engagement, and service based selling

within a global life science organization.

Responsibilities

  • As part of the Services EMEA Inside Sales team, the desired candidate will:
  • Meet sales objectives by driving
  • remote sales activities
  • (inbound and outbound calls, emails, chats, virtual meetings) with both existing customers and new prospects
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships with
  • procurement, laboratory managers, and end users,
  • identifying needs and positioning Agilent’s laboratory services portfolio
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities within an assigned territory to grow the existing customer base
  • Collaborate proactively with
  • field service engineers and internal sales teams
  • to deliver a differentiated and consistent customer experience
  • Prepare and manage
  • service quotations,
  • ensuring accuracy, follow up, and clear value communication
  • Maintain an up to date
  • CRM pipeline
  • and provide accurate sales forecasts
  • Gradually develop inside sales capabilities such as prospecting, objection handling, and commercial negotiation, with the support of the team
  • Location & Working Model
  • This position is based in the
  • Greater Milan area
  • , operating under a
  • hybrid working model,
  • with regular collaboration at the
  • Cernusco sul Naviglio
  • site.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • 1–3 years of experience
  • in a commercial, customer facing, or inside sales environment
  • (including graduate roles, commercial internships, pre sales, customer success, or hybrid technical commercial positions)
  • Ability to communicate confidently with laboratory based customers (scientists, lab managers, procurement), gained through
  • education or early professional experience
  • in life sciences, diagnostics, pharma, chemical, or laboratory environments
  • Native level
  • Italian
  • and strong professional
  • English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with multiple internal and external partners
  • Good time management and organizational skills, with experience working through
  • digital inside sales tools
  • (phone, email, chat, virtual meetings, CRM)
  • Demonstrated interest in building a
  • career in inside sales,
  • rather than field sales alone
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline is considered a plus but is not essential.
