Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) is an integrative, solution-oriented discipline that examines organisations and their networks as technological, economic, and social systems. It covers value-creating activities across industry, services, and the public sector and emphasises digitalisation and sustainable development. The department operates in Lappeenranta, Lahti, and Kouvola. The selected candidate will join the Supply Chain Management Team.
What your work will be like
The position combines teaching and research responsibilities with an initial emphasis on teaching. You will also have opportunities to participate in research projects. The position involves teaching and thesis supervision in operations management and supply chain management at the bachelor’s and master’s levels on LUT’s Lappeenranta and Lahti campuses.
Your teaching and research will focus on methods and practices in production, inventory, and logistics planning including the use of digital tools and analytics in operations management. You are expected to participate in research project preparation and implementation, applied research activities, societal interaction, and departmental and university-level duties.
What we expect from you
A non-tenure track associate professor is required to have a doctoral degree, the pedagogical competences and teaching skills necessary for the position, proof of high-level research work and publications, and the ability to lead a research group and raise research funding.
