Role Description
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a high-performing product team responsible for developing and operating cloud services for connected vehicles. You will work within a globally distributed car cloud platform, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure that powers connected car experiences for millions of users. This is a hands-on role combining application development with cloud infrastructure ownership in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud services and ingress gateway solutions within a globally scaled platform
- Take ownership of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and release management
- Collaborate with your Product Owner to define functionality, estimate complexity, and plan sprints
- Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions within established guidelines
- Act as a task force resource for business-critical application and infrastructure development
- Share knowledge within the team and actively contribute to continuous improvement
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in Java (Spring) and/or Golang
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases (e.g. MongoDB, MySQL, Cassandra)
- Understanding of microservice architecture
- Experience working in agile product teams (Scrum/DevOps)
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- BSc degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent
- Meriting
- Experience with Istio service mesh
- Knowledge of middleware technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or MQTT
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus
- Prior experience with connected vehicle platforms or car-related cloud data flows
