Chief Accountant
About this role
We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Chief Accountant to join our team of warm-hearted, competent professionals. In this role, you will have the overall responsibility of general ledger processing, period-end closing and adjustment procedures and financial reporting (statutory and IFRS) for Ahlstrom Oyj, the Group's parent company.
This is a permanent position based at Ahlstrom's headquarters in Espoo, Finland, reporting to Manager, Financial Service Center (FSC), Finland. The role is hybrid, offering the flexibility to work both at our modern Espoo office and from your home office.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Month-end, quarterly and annual closing and reporting
Preparing financial statements and annual corporate tax returns
VAT reporting
Maintenance of accounting dimensions
Other accounting and financial tasks related to the role
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a similar position
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience and knowledge of main responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish
- Advanced Excel skills and analytical mindset
- Ability to adapt to tight time schedules and reporting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
