Responsibilities
For the aeromechanics and performance section we are looking for an experienced analysis engineer who, within a couple of years, can assume the role of technical leader for flying qualities and performance for Saab's civil aircraft 340/2000 and special mission aircraft, i.e. surveillance aircraft built on civil aircraft.This means that it is responsible for ensuring that Saab meets the requirements for civil airworthiness.
As an analysis engineer for the above areas, you will be involved in investigations, develop modifications to meet new customer needs or regulatory requirements, develop various technical documents and support the purchasing function.
In addition to the above areas, maintenance of Saab's aeromechanical simulation models of the Saab 340/2000 will be included. This is done in cooperation with experienced engineers in the section. As the work within the Special Mission projects is cyclical, there will also be the opportunity to work with Saab's flight mechanics simulators for the Gripen.
In our section you will be part of an experienced group of people of different ages and with a common interest in aviation. We offer both aeronautical-specific courses and more general courses to support long-term competence development.
Your profile
We assume that you have a relevant technical education together with experience working with flying systems and a desire to learn more. In addition, the following competencies are a plus for the position:
Experience in certification of civil aircraft
Experience working with aircraft performance and/or flight characteristics
Experience of system security work
Experience in planning and costing of design and investigation work
Experience in verification and validation
