Do you want to be part of building the next European deep tech success stories? Are you excited about the idea that cutting-edge research creates companies that have a real impact on society? We are looking for a community manager to launch and develop a deep tech accelerator in Otaniemi, Espoo - in the middle of one of Europe's most dynamic innovation ecosystems.
The Deep Tech Accelerator is an experiment carried out by the City of Espoo. The aim is to develop an effective model to support the growth, scaling and internationalisation of research-based companies after the critical spinout phase.
You will work at A Grid at Aalto University campus and as part of local, national and European networks. Your work matters: you will help solve one of the key innovation challenges - how research can be used to create impactful business and sustainable solutions faster.
In your role you will
be responsible for the daily operational activities of the accelerator and the implementation of the experiment
build and facilitate a community where research-based spinouts, experts, investors and business partners meet (e.g. office hours, sparring, workshops and investor events)
connect companies to networks and experts (e.g. mentors and financiers) who help companies develop in the fields of financing, markets, piloting and internationalisation
identify, grow and deepen partnerships that serve companies with Aalto University, research organisations, funders, companies and other potential partners both in Finland and abroad
report and document the learning, observations and development needs generated during the experiment and bring them to support Espoo's decision-making and operational development
participate in building the visibility of the accelerator as part of Espo
