Project Controller

Our RDI Finance group is responsible for the operative management of externally funded RDI projects. The group consists of 5 project controllers, and as our project portfolio has increased with new projects, we are expanding. Our daily work covers financial reporting, RDI project finance, budgeting and developing our tools and processes.

As a Project Controller you will be working mainly in EU and nationally funded RDI projects supporting them for the whole project lifetime from proposal preparation to possible financial audits. In this role you will work closely with the project managers as well as the project partner organisations and funders. You will actively take part in the development of the team's tools and guidance material, and participate in organizing in-house training as well as advising the international project consortia with finance related issues.

Your responsibilities will include:Budgeting new funding proposals

Implementing the financial follow-up and monitoring the use of resources

Communication with the funding organisations and project consortia

Financial reporting to CSC management, project management and to the funding bodies

RDI Finance team's development projects

Organising training on EU project finance

RDI project contract review

What we expect

To be successful in this role, you need:Higher education degree in a relevant field

Several years of work experience in RDI project finance

Proven track record in financial reporting, accounting and contract negotiations

Knowledge of EC funding instruments, especially Horizon Europe and Digital Europe, and national funding instruments (Research Council of Finland and ERDF)

Fluency in Finnish and English
