Product Developer (fixed-term), Snacks Team - Helsinki
At Valio R&D, we are creating the future of food - together. We are now looking for a Product Developer to join our Snacks team in a fixed-term position for two years, starting in May 2026 or as agreed.

Responsibilities
- As a Product Developer in the Snacks team you will combine strong professional expertise with creativity, business understanding, and strong collaboration skills to transform consumer needs into successful, safe, and high-quality dairy products. You will develop, renew, and maintain fresh dairy-based snack products (e.g. yoghurts, quarks or drinkable dairy snacks) as well as the related manufacturing processes. You act as an independent R&D expert within cross-functional project teams. Your work is strongly hands-on and project-oriented, offering you a broad and collaborative working environment.
- Your role includes:
- Developing new products, solutions, and manufacturing processes, as well as improving existing ones to support business growth
- Acting as an R&D expert in new product development projects and cross-functional teams
- Monitoring technology and market developments and translating insights into product or process ideas for Valio's development pipeline
- Actively collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners
- What we expect from you:
- MSc or another relevant higher education degree (e.g. dairy science and technology, food science)
- Experience in product development and/or food technologies
- Experience in the food industry is an asset, including technical and scientific expertise, product development skills and regulatory and quality understanding
- Enthusiasm for working in multicultural, cross-functional project teams
- Customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset
