Position Summary:

This position will set up, tear down and operate the power lifts, hand mules, and all processing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Move buckets weighing up to 500 pounds and tanks weighing up to 1400 pounds of final ground meat to stuffing area with tow motor.
  • Add the proper amount of ingredients to blends and for correcting batching of meat.
  • Box bone removal material in the final grind area.
  • Assemble and disassemble all equipment in area.
  • Perform necessary weight and process checks.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Maintain general manufacturing practices.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions.
  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.:  addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to constantly stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
  • Ability and willingness to distinguish between shades and/or colors.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Machine Operator experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • RF Scanner experience preferred
