Welcome, potential 2026 Helsinki Guide! We are RED UMBRELLA TOURS HELSINKI - a fun and dynamic tour company, operating in Helsinki, Finland for over 5 years. We offer paid and free walking tours to customers who are visiting Helsinki for the first time, and who want to get to know a little more about the city. Our informative and professional Tours are respected - and are something that tourists really look forward too! Due to an increase in demand, we are looking for PASSIONATE, CONFIDENT and FUN new guides to work with us in 2026.

What makes a great guide with Red Umbrella Tours Helsinki?
As NO EXPERIENCE OF GUIDING IS NECESSARY, you do NOT have to have worked previously as a guide! You might have been born in Finland – and you can therefore talk passionately about your city from the eyes of a Finn. Or perhaps you have been born in another country / moved here recently – and you can therefore talk about Helsinki from another perspective. Both are EQUALLY IMPORTANT, as a variety of guides are appreciated by our customers – after all, we have customers from all walks of life. If you have traveled and taken Tours in other cities, please mention this during your application - we love to see applications from people who have traveled, and who understand what it's like to be a tourist!
NECESSARY attributes for being a guide with us are:
Being FLUENT IN SPOKEN ENGLISH. Due to our Tours being conducted in English and in front of customers from all different countries, an ability to speak FLUENTLY in English is NECESSARY for the job. Native speaker is not required.
Being CONFIDENT – you can regularly be talking to groups of up to 30-40 people in the middle of the Senate Square, as you talk passionately about historical facts. If you enjoy public speaking and are comfortable performing in front of a large crowd, then this is great!

Responsibilities
