Responsibilities

  • In this critical role, you will:
  • Serve as the 24/7 MHRA point of contact for all PV matters, ensuring business continuity and compliant back‑up arrangements.
  • Provide end‑to‑end leadership of the UK PV system, ensuring adherence to UK legislation, GVP requirements, Human Medicines Regulations, and Ipsen SOPs.
  • Maintain full oversight and quality assurance of the UK PSMF, PV processes, and local safety activities.
  • Lead and mentor the UK/IE PV team, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee external PV service providers to ensure compliant case handling, data integrity, and inspection readiness.
  • Provide strategic PV expertise during product launches, MA transfers, audits, and inspections.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Quality, and Global Patient Safety teams to ensure an aligned and effective PV system.
  • Represent Ipsen at regulatory interactions and industry forums (e.g. ABPI, IPHA, MHRA, HPRA).
  • What We’re Looking For
  • We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring leader with:
  • Extensive PV experience at senior leadership level.
  • In‑depth expertise in UK/EU PV regulations, GVP, ICH and CIOMS.
  • Proven experience driving PV system oversight, process optimisation, and compliance.
  • A strong track record in regulatory inspections and CAPA management.
  • Exceptional communication, cross‑functional leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or Life Sciences (essential).
  • Previous QPPV or Deputy QPPV experience (advantageous).
