About this role

Overview We are seeking an accomplished PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Solution Architect to lead our PeopleSoft technology capability within a multi‑customer consulting practice. This role combines technical leadership, solution architecture, and practice ownership, driving high‑quality delivery across PeopleSoft application, tools, integrations, upgrades, and cloud-hosted environments. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, ensure technical excellence, and act as the senior technical authority for PeopleSoft and OCI across multiple concurrent customers. Key Responsibilities Practice Leadership Lead the PeopleSoft technology capability, shaping the roadmap, service offerings, and technical strategy. Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical challenges across all PeopleSoft and OCI customer engagements. Mentor, coach, and technically govern PeopleSoft technical consultants, DBAs, and cloud engineers. Drive adoption of latest PeopleTools features, Cloud Manager, automation, cloud services, monitoring and performance. Solution Architecture & Design Lead end-to-end solution architecture for PeopleSoft environments, including application structure, customisation strategy, platform topology, integrations, security, and lifecycle management. Architect PeopleSoft deployments and migrations on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, resilience, and cost efficiency. Define technical standards, architecture patterns, and best practices for PeopleSoft on OCI and hybrid cloud environments. Provide expert guidance on PeopleTools upgrades, PeopleSoft Cloud Manager, PUM strategy, configuration management, and Selective Adoption. Delivery Excellence Oversee multi-customer delivery, ensuring technical solutions are robust, maintainable, and aligned with customer outcomes. Review technical designs, code, integration patterns, and performance tuning recommendations. Support pre‑sales, estimating, and solution shaping for new business opportunities. Ensure environments and platforms meet enterprise-grade standards in security, DR, performance, and compliance. Provide technical guidance and input to the Managed Service organisation to embed best practice in system monitoring, maintenance, and operational excellence. Customer Engagement Engage with senior customer stakeholders, translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions. Build trusted advisor relationships and influence customer technology roadmaps. Lead technical workshops, assessments, design reviews, and architecture governance sessions.

Required Skills & Experience Core PeopleSoft Expertise Deep technical knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture, PeopleTools, Integration Broker, OpenSearch, development tools, and PeopleSoft security models. Proven experience delivering PeopleTools upgrades, PUM adoption programmes, and complex integrations. Expertise in performance tuning, platform optimisation, and troubleshooting across the full PeopleSoft stack. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Strong hands-on experience designing and deploying PeopleSoft on OCI. Knowledge of OCI networking, compute, storage, security zones, load balancing, and identity. Familiarity with Terraform, Resource Manager, or other IaC tooling for OCI. Experience with cloud automation, monitoring, and observability Leadership & Consulting Skills Experience leading technical teams in a consulting or multi‑customer managed service environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — capable of influencing senior business and IT leaders. Ability to shape service offerings, improve delivery models, and support commercial growth. Proven track record in designing end-to-end cloud and on‑prem hybrid architectures. Desirable Skills Knowledge of Oracle Database, RAC, Exadata Cloud Service, or Autonomous Database. Familiarity with DevOps practices including Git, Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible, or similar. Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation strategies. Exposure to other cloud platforms – Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Personal Attributes Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, delivery-focused approach. Collaborative leadership style with a strong commitment to mentoring and capability building. Highly analytical with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable operating in fast-paced consultancy environments.
