1. Job Purpose
To provide independent, third-party quality and quantity assessment of non-ferrous commodities (concentrates, ores, refined metals) at a single facility. You will ensure that all material handling, weighing, and sampling processes adhere strictly to international standards (ISO/Internal SOP's) and client-specific contractual requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
In-Process Inspection: Metal related bulk products at various stages of processing within the plant to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
Weight Verification: Supervise weighing operations at the facility's weighbridge or scales to verify exact cargo quantities for commercial settlement.
Sealing: Sealing "cargo containers" and keeping an accurate record.
Monitor: Physical tests, including moisture determination, screen (size) analysis, and density testing, to verify material conformance to standards.
Monitor sample Preparation: Processing of bulk samples in the on-site preparation area, including drying, crushing, and pulverizing, to create lab-ready laboratory samples.
Quality Control & Integrity: Properly label, seal, and store samples to maintain a clear chain of custody.
Laboratory samples: Packing and shipping of laboratory samples.
Reporting: Documenting of all findings in detailed daily reports. This includes recorded weights and daily WSMD activities.
