Job Description: Summary The Global Digital & IT (GDIT) Business Partner for North America is responsible for leading all digital and technology initiatives supporting Ipsen’s commercial operations in the region. Acting as a strategic consultant and trusted advisor, this role ensures that technology investments drive measurable business value and align with Ipsen’s global Digital & IT strategy. This position requires an experienced leader capable of spearheading the development and execution of a high-impact digital & technology strategy in service of the North America commercial affiliates as well as acting as a strategic leader with experience in managing complex IT & Digital activities. As the single point of accountability for IT and digital in North America, the Business Partner collaborates with senior business leaders to shape a multi-year technology roadmap, foster innovation, and deliver best-in-class digital experiences for field, marketing, and medical teams. Reporting to the Vice President, GDIT – GPPS, International & North America, the incumbent operates in a matrix environment, coordinating global functions, regional leadership, and cross-functional delivery teams. Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies Principle objectives are to: Strategic Business Partnership & Planning Act as the primary GDIT strategic partner (SPOC) for North America Commercial & Business Ethics stakeholders, ensuring alignment between NA business priorities and global Digital & IT strategy. Translate North America business objectives into a clear, prioritized digital roadmap aligned with global platforms, governance, and enterprise standards. Partner with NA leadership (Commercial, Business Ethics, GPPS, and other key stakeholders) to shape demand, define business cases, and ensure initiatives deliver measurable business value. Act as GDIT sponsor in executive steering committees to shape strategic initiatives current and future capabilities. Digital Capabilities & Value Delivery Assess current-state North America digital capabilities, identifying gaps, redundancies, and opportunities to simplify and optimize the technology landscape. Drive adoption and value realization of global digital platforms (e.g., CRM, Data, Omnichannel, MDM) within North America, ensuring local needs are addressed without fragmenting enterprise architecture. Champion process simplification and digital enablement to improve field force effectiveness, customer engagement, compliance processes, and data-driven decision-making. ​ Stakeholder Management & Coordination Implement clear governance and decision-making processes for NA initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity standards. Lead Value Board and governance forums by providing visibility into NA initiatives, risks, interdependencies, and roadmap evolution. Lead cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Medical, Business Ethics, Finance, and Operations to ensure integrated delivery of digital capabilities. ​ Change Management & Adoption Lead organizational readiness and change management efforts for major digital initiatives, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and end-user adoption. Communicate effectively with NA leadership and affiliate teams on initiative status, benefits realization, risks, and roadmap updates. Anticipate evolving business and regulatory requirements within North America and proactively recommend system enhancements or adjustments. Technical & Functional Expertise Maintain strong knowledge of pharma commercial systems (CRM, Omnichannel, Data Platforms, Consent, MDM, etc.) and understand their practical application within North America operations. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities that strengthen NA commercial effectiveness while remaining aligned with enterprise standards. Provide informed guidance on solution design trade-offs, balancing local agility with global scalability and clean-core principles. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure North America digital initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, data privacy laws, quality standards, and Ipsen governance frameworks. Promote disciplined financial and delivery governance to ensure projects remain within approved scope, timeline, and budget. Knowledge & Experience Minimum 15 years’ of relevant professional experience Proven track record of successfully addressing foundational digital capabilities within Commercial & Affiliates organizations, driving tangible improvements in commercial platform portfolio, processes, and team dynamics. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with demonstrated expertise in enterprise digital and IT strategy. Master’s degree in a technology-related field (minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience) is preferred Proven track record of successfully leading Commercial digital initiatives, driving innovation, and delivering business value. Strong understanding of Commercial processes, scientific workflows, and regulatory requirements in the biotech sector. Proficiency in a wide range of digital technologies and platforms relevant to Commercial including but not limited to data &analytics and AI. Strong understanding of technical platforms, architecture, and data related to commercial activities, with the ability to architect and implement robust digital solutions. Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business drivers and industry dynamics, capable of translating organizational goals into actionable digital technology strategies and initiatives. Experience in evaluating emerging technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact on business outcomes, and making informed recommendations for strategic investment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts and strategies in a clear and compelling manner, fostering alignment and support for digital transformation efforts The annual base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $260,000. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentives program. The pay range displayed above is the range of base pay compensation within which Ipsen expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting.
