đŸ§‘đŸ»â€đŸ’» About the role

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

Mews has just secured €300m in funding and is gearing up for its next chapter: IPO readiness and the rapid evolution of our fintech and payments offering. We’re now hiring a Lead, Financial Risk & Treasury to help build the financial risk backbone that will support this growth. This is a high-impact senior individual contributor role: you’ll own our FX, liquidity and regulatory capital workstreams, shaping how we manage financial risk as we scale globally and build out our FinTech capabilities.

As Principle, Financial Risk & Treasury, you will independently drive our FX risk, cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, regulatory capital forecasting and broader financial risk management workstreams. You’ll report into Treasury leadership and partner closely with the VP, Corporate Finance & Treasury and the wider Finance organisation. You’ll inherit solid groundwork that’s been laid over the past year, but your mandate is to understand, challenge and elevate what’s there: professionalise our models, policies and processes and turn complex analysis into clear, influential narratives for senior management and the Board.

✅ Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

Own group-wide FX risk management and hedging – from identifying exposures to designing and executing hedging strategies in line with our risk appetite.

Build and continuously improve 12+ month cash flow and liquidity forecasts, connecting insights to funding and capital allocation decisions.

Lead regulatory capital forecasting and contribute to the capital and liquidity policy framework that underpins our future EMI licence and fintech ambitions.

Run financial risk analytics and stress testing across FX, interest rate, liquidity and counterparty risk, turning data into clear recommendations.

Partner with Finance, Payments, Legal and Compliance and manage key banking relationships, preparing concise, high-impact materials for senior leadership and the Board.

đŸ€ïž You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

10 years+ of experience in treasury, financial risk, capital management or corporate finance, ideally in a bank, fintech or high-growth international SaaS environment.

Proven, hands-on ownership of FX risk, cash flow forecasting or liquidity management – you’re comfortable diving into complex Excel models and making them better.

Strong grasp of financial principles (accounting, forecasting, modelling, valuation, risk analytics) and excellent Excel skills; experience with SQL / Databricks or similar is a plus.

Confidence working with senior stakeholders (Treasurer, VP Finance, CFO, Risk or Capital teams) and presenting your analysis and recommendations clearly.

High ownership and autonomy: you can take a loosely defined problem, structure it, analyse it and drive it through to implementation in a fast-paced environment.

A pragmatic, entrepreneurial mindset – comfortable in a scale-up setting where not everything is standardised yet, and excited to help build the playbook.

Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related quantitative field; ACT, CFA, FRM or similar qualifications are a plus, not a prerequisite.

You’ll thrive here if you want to be the go-to specialist rather than one of many in a large institution, and you’re excited by the idea of helping a well-funded, pre-IPO scale-up get fintech- and IPO-ready.

🎉 What’s in it for you?

Did you know Mews was named Best PMS of 2025 - for the second year in a row - and twice recognized as a Best Place to Work in Hotel Tech?

That success is powered by our incredible people and supported by the benefits that help them thrive.

🌍 Global benefits

No matter where you’re based, you’ll enjoy:

Participation in our company share program

Best-in-class parental leave (6 months fully paid for primary caregivers, 2 months for secondary, available within your first year)

Unlimited paid holiday (yes, really)

Work from anywhere - enjoy the flexibility to work from other countries for a few weeks each year through our compliant and flexible Workation policy.
