Before you apply, please read through our <a target="_blank" href="https://career.weroad.travel/culture-manifesto/">Cultural Manifesto</a> 👥<br></p><p><strong>About the role:</strong><br></p><p><strong>JOB TITLE:</strong> Senior Finance Accountant<br><strong>LOCATION: Milan (Hybrid)</strong><br><strong>TYPE OF CONTRACT:</strong> Permanent, full time<br><strong>SALARY RANGE:</strong> €32,000 – €38,000 gross/year <br><strong><br>What you will do</strong></p><ul><li><p>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to provide a clear picture of WeRoad’s financial health.</p></li><li><p>Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections, ensuring smooth cash flow management.</p></li><li><p>Support budgeting and forecasting, analyzing variances to inform strategic decision-making.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, while supporting external audits.</p></li><li><p>Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.</p></li><li><p>Partner with teams across the organization to deliver financial insights that support business initiatives.</p></li><li><p>(Nice to have) Mentor and support junior members of the accounting team.</p></li></ul><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance</strong>, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA) are a plus.</p></li><li><p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Advanced Excel proficiency, strong knowledge of accounting software, and familiarity with ERP systems (Business Central is a strong plus). Solid knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC); IFRS knowledge is a plus.</p></li><li><p><strong>Analytical & Problem-Solving:</strong> Data-driven, detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving problems.</p></li><li><p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a simple, clear way to non-financial stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Collaborative mindset, proactive and accountable, flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing environment, curious and eager to grow in a scale-up.</p></li><li><p>High level of English, written and spoken.</p></li></ul><p><strong>You will love working at WeRoad if</strong></p><ul><li><p>You dream big, aim higher, and push yourself beyond limits you didn’t think possible.
