Responsibilities

  • As an HR Operations Specialist at Nebius, you’ll play a key role in delivering a seamless employee experience across the full employee lifecycle, while ensuring operational excellence across payroll, compliance and HR data processes. You’ll partner closely with People teams, payroll providers and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate processes, resolve issues proactively and support the continued growth of Nebius across multiple regions.
  • This is a highly detail-oriented role requiring strong ownership, precision and collaboration. You’ll help ensure that core people operations run smoothly, accurately and in line with internal controls, while also contributing to broader HR operational improvements and projects.
  • This role will be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Provide day-to-day employee lifecycle support, including onboarding, contract management and offboarding processes.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employment-related questions from employees, managers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain high levels of HR data quality and integrity, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and validate monthly payroll input, ensuring all changes including new hires, terminations, salary updates, bonuses, allowances and leave are accurately submitted on time.
  • Support accurate payroll processing by collecting, checking and reporting all payroll-related changes including newcomers and relocations.
  • Partner closely with HRBPs, Compensation and Benefits, and Equity teams to resolve discrepancies during each payroll cycle.
  • Own final payroll checks by reviewing reported entries, identifying adjustments and acting as second signatory to approve payroll each cycle.
  • Respond to employee questions related to payslips, payroll deductions and compensation, providing clear and timely support.
  • Verify 30% ruling eligibility for new hires and relocations, preparing required documentation and coordinating submissions with tax partners.
  • Prepare payroll reports in line with SOX requirements and internal compliance standards.
  • Contribute to HR Operations projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
  • We expect you to have:
  • Strong experience across HR operations, payroll administration and employee lifecycle support.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy when managing sensitive employee data.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across People, payroll and reward functions.
  • Good understanding of payroll controls, compliance requirements and reporting processes.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence handling employee queries professionally.
