As a Software Engineer at Tandem, those skills will be applied to problems that really matter - problems that help ensure our healthcare system functions properly. You’ll be designing, implementing, and debugging high-stakes, complex systems together with other engineers who are deeply engaged and care about both our mission and the technology we build.
You’ll work across the stack and collaborate closely with multiple teams, contributing to technical decisions, supporting others through collaboration and knowledge sharing, and helping ensure our systems are performant, reliable, and continuously improving.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll help shape both the product and the way we build it. You’ll be responsible for writing excellent code, taking ownership of well-defined problem areas, and driving features and improvements from design to production. Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex systems - from data processing pipelines to APIs and client integrations that are critical to clinician workflows.
- Contribute to building and scaling cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Influence technical direction within your team through hands-on work, thoughtful design, and clear documentation.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clinicians and designers, to ensure we're solving the right problems with the right solutions.
- Make and contribute to technical decisions across backend and frontend systems, including Python, TypeScript, React, and Kubernetes.
- Support and grow other engineers across the team through code reviews, design feedback, and s
