About this role

Your Mission

As a Sales Intern at Too Good To Go, you are at the forefront of the food waste revolution. You are the first point of contact for potential partners, turning cold or warm leads into active waste warriors.

Through phone calls, emails, and messaging, your goal is to identify decision-makers at restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores, pitch the value of our marketplace, and successfully book meetings for our Sales Specialists. You’ll also get a 360-degree view of the business by supporting our Operations team in boosting partner performance and retention.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead Qualification: Manage inbound inquiries and execute outbound outreach to build a robust sales pipeline.

The "Hook": Master the art of the pitch to spark interest from busy business owners.

Meeting Coordination: Seamlessly book high-quality meetings/calls for our Sales Specialists.

Operational Support: Assist the Operations team in optimizing partner performance, ensuring our current stores are successfully saving food.

Data Diligence: Keep our CRM organized and up-to-date to ensure no lead is left behind.

Your Profile:

Resilience is your Middle Name: You understand that "No" is just a step toward a "Yes." You stay self-motivated and maintain a "one store at a time" mentality.

Growth Mindset: You are hungry to learn. This is a 1-year immersion into the world of sales, and you are ready to absorb every bit of coaching we offer.

Communication Pro: You are a fantastic speaker and an even better listener. You can build rapport in seconds over the phone.

High Energy: You have zero fear of picking up the phone and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Organized & Rigorous: You can juggle multiple tasks, prioritize your day, and keep a clean pipeline.

Requirements

  • Availability: Full-time (Monday–Friday) for a 1-year internship.
  • Background: No prior sales experience? No problem. We value attitude over history. Experience in customer-facing roles (retail, hospitality, etc.) is a plus.
  • Hybrid Ready: Ability to be present in our Lisbon office at least 2 days per week.
  • Values-Driven: A genuine passion for sustainability and fighting food waste.
