The AML AI Engineering Squad is a cross-functional team within the Risk & Compliance tribe. Our team is responsible for developing cutting-edge data products and ML solutions that power Transaction Monitoring and protect our merchant base from Money Laundering and Financial Crime. We combine automation, AI, and engineering excellence to build innovative products that empower Risk and AML teams to work smarter, faster, and more efficiently.
The Senior Data Engineer role is critical for creating a robust, high-quality data foundation that drives efficiency, powers AI-driven automation, and enables data-driven decisions for our Risk and AML teams. You will build and maintain data pipelines in our system, ensuring analysts, product managers, and AI systems have trusted, accessible data.

What You'll Be Doing
Build and operate Python-based, production-grade data pipelines that power AI automation and ML workflows (Risk Decision Center / SAR Studio), including near real-time datasets and aggregations
Ensure data quality and reliability end-to-end through validations, testing, monitoring, alerting, and clear SLAs/ownership
Create and maintain core data models and aggregations for Risk and AML decisioning and analytics
Support Regulatory Reporting by building scalable reporting pipelines, handling ad-hoc regulator requests, and ensuring traceability through audit trails, versioning, and reproducible outputs
Improve and document our data foundations and governance (architecture, dependencies, dataset definitions/lineage)
Collaborate closely with Data Platform and a cross-functional squad (data scientists, software engineers, analysts) to align on requirements and deliver safely in production
