By working with our Warsaw office, you will help shape scalable, data-driven products used across our markets, working with a modern tech stack and international teams to continuously improve how people discover, order, and enjoy HelloFresh’s products, today and in the future.
About the role
As a Senior Platform Engineer in our Release Engineering team, you will focus on building developer tooling, not individual pipelines. Your work will power CI/CD for 1,000+ engineers across HelloFresh, enabling safe, automated, and scalable releases.
We design and maintain the frameworks, CLIs, and internal platforms that make delivery effortless and reliable. Beyond managing tools like GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and ArgoCD, you will contribute to our in‑house solutions—from service bootstrap CLIs to our Open Application Model (OAM) implementation that abstracts Kubernetes complexity. Our platform also supports fully automated progressive rollouts with Bring Your Own Metrics (BYOM) capabilities, giving teams the confidence to ship at speed.

Responsibilities
- Build and evolve internal developer tooling to enable fast, reliable, and low‑risk software delivery, helping product teams ship more often with higher confidence
- Develop solutions that minimize or eliminate downtime during infrastructure maintenance (e.g., automated strategies for RDS upgrades)
- Advance our OAM‑based approach to abstract Kubernetes complexity and standardize deployment practices across the organization
- Collaborate closely with other squads in the Reliability Platform Tribe and the Foundations Alliance to deliver a cohesive, end‑to‑end platform for the entire HelloFresh Group
- Share CI/CD best practices and platform capabilities with engineering teams, enabling a culture of safe, reliable, and efficient releases through standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Solid experience in building or maintaining developer platforms, CI/CD systems, or internal tooling in a cloud‑native environment
- Familiarity with modern software delivery practices such as GitOps, progressive delivery, automated verifications, and infrastructure‑as‑code
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and understanding of cloud‑native architecture patterns
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and containerized workloads, ideally with experience abstracting complexity for developers
- A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn and continuously improve both the platform and your own skills
- Ability to collaborate across squads and domains, consult with development teams, and translate platform concepts into actionable guidance
