Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategically minded

National Key Account Manager

to lead one of our most critical Grocery retail partners in Germany.

In this high‑impact role, you will shape customer strategy, unlock significant growth opportunities, and lead annual negotiations with major retailers at the national and international level.

You will own the full customer agenda—from long‑term planning to operational execution—acting as a key voice for the German market within the broader business. This role offers the opportunity to influence commercial strategy while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive exceptional performance.

EDEKA and Netto

You will lead national negotiations, contribute to international Everest discussions, and guide two Regional Key Account Managers within a matrix structure. Your decisions will directly shape customer growth, profitability, and market performance.

About the Team

You will join a high‑performing Sales organization that partners closely with Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Marketing, Finance, and other key functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic and day‑to‑day management of assigned national retail customers (e.g.,
  • EDEKA, Netto
  • )
  • Act as the single point of accountability for major accounts within a matrix structure
  • Provide functional direction and coordination for
  • two Regional Key Account Managers
  • Develop, refine, and execute annual customer plans aligned with national and customer‑specific objectives
  • Own customer sales performance, profitability, and market share development
  • Independently prepare and conduct central annual negotiations
  • Participate in
  • international Everest negotiations
  • Identify growth opportunities using continuous
  • 4P and data-driven analysis
  • Collaborate daily with internal partners (Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer Marketing, Finance)
  • Deliver proactive reporting, highlighting performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Oversee data quality and ensure insights from Associates support strategic decision‑making
  • Experience you’ll bring:
  • Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of Key Account Management experience
  • within FMCG, ideally with EDEKA or other top German retailers
  • Strong understanding of the German and European FMCG retail environment
  • Proven negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, operate autonomously, and deliver measurable results
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience working within cross‑functional, fast‑paced environments
