About the Role You will bring deep battery expertise into an MVP focused on next-life planning for used battery electric vehicles. The work sits at the intersection of battery technology, analytics, and commercial decision-making, where reliable estimates of State of Health and Remaining Useful Life help shape decisions on contract length, pricing, warranty exposure, and residual value. You will work alongside an established team with strong data science, software, and data engineering capabilities. Your contribution is to challenge assumptions, interpret degradation patterns, and make sure SOH and RUL assessments are technically credible and usable in practice. This is a strong opportunity if you want to influence how battery insight is turned into real business decisions in an advanced automotive environment. Job DescriptionYou will develop and validate SOH and RUL models for used BEVs together with analytics and engineering colleagues. You will interpret battery degradation using operational vehicle data and connect patterns to real-world usage. You will compare on-board battery health estimates with off-board model results and explain deviations. You will assess aging drivers such as temperature, SOC, depth of discharge, charging behavior, C-rate, load, and route profile. You will define limitations, confidence levels, and applicability criteria for battery lifetime estimates. You will translate battery health insights into practical recommendations for used-vehicle sales, leasing, warranty, and residual value decisions. RequirementsRelevant technical education in battery technology, electrochemistry, electrical engineer
