Job Description
Healthcare Manager is a highly specialized Customer Facing role focused on improving access to care for patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) by actively connecting patients with available therapies. The primary objective of the role is to optimize the referral and initiation pathway, with a strong focus on referral optimization.
The role actively shapes collaboration with hospitals, key accounts, and healthcare system stakeholders, identifies systemic barriers, and develops sustainable solutions that improve patient flow, access, and long‑term outcomes in PAH.
Primary Activities
Patient Journey & Referral Optimization (60% of time)
Actively works with referring physicians, PAH centers, hospitals, and multidisciplinary teams to shorten time to referral and initiation of appropriate therapy
Regularly visits and engages HCPs in areas of cardiology, internal medicine, pulmonology, and general practice to educate on PAH and to facilitate connections towards PAH Centers of Excellence
Maps the full PAH patient journey with a strong focus on diagnosis, referral, and treatment initiation pathways
Identifies referral gaps, bottlenecks, and delays (payer, organizational, process‑related, or patient‑profile driven) and translates them into concrete improvement initiatives
Supports disease awareness and education activities aimed at earlier diagnosis and appropriate referral, always in line with compliance requirements
Hospital & Healthcare System Engagement (30% of time)
Identifies opportunities to improve PAH care pathways within hospitals and across regional healthcare systems
Navigates hospital structures and decision‑making processes, including collaboration with hospital management and non‑medical stakeholders where relevant
Insights, Analysis & Cross‑Functional Collaboration (10% of time)
Collects and analyzes insights from the field to identify trends, barriers, and opportunities within the PAH landscape
Translates insights into actionable recommendations for brand, medical, market access, and policy strategies
Designs and implements tailored referral solutions and tools in close collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial teams
Ensures full compliance with all internal and external regulations in all activities

Required Skills & Experience
University degree, ideally in life science or economics
Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare environment, ideally in rare disease, cardiology, or specialty care
Proven experience in customer‑facing roles, healthcare projects, or system‑level initiatives
High level of autonomy, proactivity, and ability to manage complex topics in a matrix organization
Willingness to travel within the Czech and Slovak Republic
